Rachel Richardson has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and Wallace Stegner Program at Stanford University. She is the author of Copperhead (2011) and Hundred-Year Wave (forthcoming in 2016) both from Carnegie Mellon University Press. Her poems have appeared in Slate, New England Review, Southern Review, Blackbird, PN Review, and elsewhere. Her essays and reviews appear in Kenyon Review Online, The Rumpus, and on the Poetry Foundation website, and she is a Contributing Editor at Memorious. Rachel has taught in numerous prisons and universities, most recently as the Kenan Visiting Writer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Greensboro, North Carolina.
